Lufkin Police Report - 9/16/08

ASSAULT/A: 2500 BLOCK OF S JOHN REDDITT. Two adult sisters reported the other assaulted them Monday night.  The women both had minor injuries from a fight.

THEFT OF SERVICE: 1900 BLOCK OF S FIRST ST. A group of people walked out of a restaurant without paying for their $60 meal tab Monday evening.

ASSAULT/A: 200 BLOCK OF E KERR ST. Complainant reported that her husband slapped her several times during an argument Monday night.  The woman had minor injuries.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 3000 BLOCK OF S JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that sugar was poured into the gas tank of his car sometime during the past four days.

THEFT/B: 1100 BLOCK OF N TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that a prostitute came to his motel room and stole his wallet Monday evening.

THEFT/C: 4600 BLOCK OF S MEDFORD. Complainant reported that someone stole gasoline from her car while it was parked at her workplace Monday afternoon.

THEFT/FELONY: 400 BLOCK OF CALVERT ST. Complainant reported that a .380 caliber pistol was stolen from his unlocked car Sunday or Monday.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 600 BLOCK OF HENDERSON. Complainant reported that someone entered his residence Saturday and stole his prescription medications.  No signs of forced entry were found.

THEFT: 100 BLOCK OF N FIRST. Complainant reported that an employee quit the company and failed to return some company issued equipment after several requests for her to do so.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 100 BLOCK OF MILES WA. Complainant reported that several outdoor glass poster display cases at a movie theater were broken out Saturday night and the movie posters stolen.    

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 500 BLOCK OF NORTH ST. Complainant reported that someone threw a large piece of asphalt through the back window of his car Saturday night.

BURGLARY: 500 BLOCK OF S CHESTNUT. Complainant reported that a business was broken into over the weekend but nothing was noted to be stolen.

DEADLY CONDUCT: 1600 BLOCK OF TULANE. Two complainants reported that a known suspect drove at them as if to run over them Sunday, causing them to have to jump out of the suspect's way.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 300 BLOCK OF N TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that her purse and stereo were stolen from her car Sunday night.  There was no sign of forced entry into the car.

Lufkin Police Department asks for the public's help in locating a missing person.  Steven Evans was last seen at his home on Moss St. on the morning of Friday September 12. 

Evans is a 19 year old white male, 5'8" tall and 140 lbs.  Evans has short brown hair, brown eyes and noticeable acne.  He was last seen wearing the a blue shirt.  Evans suffers from schizophrenia and may be disoriented because he has been off his medications.
