By Mystic Matthews

LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The U.S. Forest Service has announced a number of sites that are closed because of Ike.

The Angelina National Forest is open, although most recreation areas are closed.

Sandy Creek and Bouton Lake are the only ones that open Monday.

In the Sabine National Forest, everything is open except Red Hills Recreation Center and Boles Field.

The Davy Crockett National Forest and the Sam Houston National Forest remain closed to the public.

Bow hunting season has been postponed as crews try getting hunter camps open.

A public meeting will be held at the Davy Crockett Ranger Office Wednesday September 24th at 2pm to discuss the damaged areas and recovery.
