Nacogdoches Police Report - 9/23/08

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 1200 BLOCK OF FERGUSON. A female was sitting outside in a sitting area at approximately 10:30 last night when a male suspect jumped over a fence and attacked her while possibly holding a knife. The suspect twisted the victim's watch from her arm, causing bruising. The suspect then became alarmed and fled back over the fence. He is described as a male, wearing all blue with a blue facemask. Investigation underway.

EVADING ARREST-POSSESSION OF A DANGEROUS DRUG- TAMPERING WITH EVIDENCE: 200 BLOCK OF LANANA. Officers attempted to stop Billy Joe Pleasnat who was on a bicycle. The suspect attempted to ride away while dropping pills of a dangerous drug. He was captured and arrested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 400 BLOCK OF WEST AUSTIN. Officer stopped a vehicle that was exhibiting blue lights to the front. Officer located a small baggie containing suspected marijuana in the vehicle. Ramiro Garcia was arrested.

POSSESSION OF A CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE: 700 BLOCK OF LANE DRIVE. Officer contacted Nicholas Barnes and he was found to have an outstanding warrant. He was also in possession of suspected crack cocaine.

THEFT: 1400 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant left his wallet on the checkout counter and it was stolen by another customer.

THEFT: 2800 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported numerous political signs stolen inside Nacogdoches. Investigation underway.
