Lufkin Police Report - 9/24/08

EVADING: 400 Block N. TIMBERLAND. An unknown male suspect fled from a police officer Tuesday evening on a stolen bicycle.  The suspect got away and the stolen bicycle was recovered. 

THEFT/B: 500 Block S FIRST ST. Complainant reported that his bicycle was stolen from outside an office building Tuesday evening. (Not related to case above.)

ENDANGERING CHILD: 1500 Block MAY. Complainant reported that a known suspect hit him with a brick during a disturbance Tuesday evening and knocked out two of his car windows with a  brick, one of the broken windows collapsing in on two children in the car.  The children were not injured by the falling glass.

THEFT/A: 200 Block ENGLEWOOD DR. Complainant reported that his bicycle was stolen from his residence Tuesday afternoon.

FRAUD: 2500 Block DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that someone had obtained and forged several old checks from his closed checking account.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 2100 Block JUDSON. Complainant reported that 75 feet of copper electric wire was stolen from a residence where the power lines were down.

THEFT/C: 1900 Block S FIRST ST. Complainant reported that her prescription medication was stolen while she was at a nightclub Monday night.

THEFT: 2500 Block DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that her wallet was stolen from her purse last week.  She believes it happened while she was shopping.

HARASSMENT: 300 Block GASLIGHT BL. Complainant reported that she received several harassing and threatening phone calls from an unknown female Tuesday morning.

ASSAULT: 400 Block BRENTWOOD. Complainant reported that a known suspect touched her in a manner she found offensive and made a lewd proposition to her Tuesday morning.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 400 Block CHARLTON ST. Complainant reported that the stereo and about 100 CD's were stolen from her car Monday night.
