Lufkin Police Report - 9/29/08

THEFT/C: 800 Block N TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that a man walked out of store without paying for the 30-pack of beer he took Sunday evening.

ASSAULT/A: 300 Block E SHEPHERD DR. Complainant reported that she was assaulted by a known suspect Sunday evening.  The complainant had several visible scratches on her head and face.

BURGLARY/ATTEMPT: 2400 Block S FIRST. A group of med were seen trying to break into complainant's car Sunday evening.  The men did not  get the car unlocked and nothing was taken.

THEFT: 2500 Block DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported that her purse was missing and she believed it was stolen when she went to a store Saturday night.

THEFT/B: 600 Block S FIRST. Complainant reported that her laundry was stolen from the dryer at a Laundromat Sunday afternoon.

THEFT/C: 2700 Block N RAGUET. Complainant reported that someone stolen $10 from her purse when she briefly left it unattended inside a Laundromat Sunday evening.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 1600 Block KELTYS ST. Complainant reported that her car broke down a few days ago and she left it on the side of the road.  During the past several days someone broke out a window on the car and threw eggs on it.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF: 300 Block E SHEPHERD AV. Complainant reported that he left his vehicle with a friend a couple of months ago when he was incarcerated and now he has heard the friend sold the car for scrap.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF: 3100 Block ATKINSON DR. Complainant reported that he left the key in his car and someone stole it Saturday night while he was in a convenience store.  

THEFT/B: 1200 Block E DENMAN. Complainant reported that her brother stole her son's cell phone while he was staying at her apartment for several days.
