Fishermen find human skull in creek

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Attempts are underway to identify a human skull that was found Saturday in Nacogdoches.   Two teenagers fishing in Lanana Creek made the grisly discovery. Now police detectives with the help of the FBI are wanting to learn more. They returned to the area where the skull was found. That would be just north of the railroad track and south of the soccer fields. Sgt. Greg Sowell said,  " We did a search of the area. We could not locate any of the remainders of the body. We did transport it to the police department and we have it and we're going to be submitting it for further testing. "   Right now investigators do not know who it is or how long the badly decomposed skull had been there. Forensic testing may provide some additional clues.
