Lufkin Police Report - 10/7/08

THEFT/C: 900 Block S JOHN REDDITT. Complainant reported that five men entered the store together just after midnight Tuesday morning and some of the men stole several snack food items while two of the men distracted her.

THEFT/C: 100 Block OAK VALLEY. Complainant reported that a campaign sign was stolen from her yard Thursday night.  She reported that a sign was stolen from their yard as well but no contact was made with that neighbor.

ASSAULT: 900 Block S SECOND. Complainant reported that she was attacked by a known suspect Monday evening.  The complainant had scratches to her face, hands and knee.

HARASSMENT: 2800 Block DANIEL MCCALL. Complainant reported receiving numerous harassing e-mails and voice mails from his ex-wife.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 1700 Block W FRANK. Complainant reported that his vehicle was broken into and the stereo stolen Monday evening.

ROBBERY/AGGRAVATED: 700 Block N RAGUET ST. Three men robbed a convenience store just after 8pm Monday.  Three men wearing hooded sweat jackets and masks entered the store and one of the men put a handgun to the clerk's head and demanded the money.  The clerk handed over the drawer from the register and the three suspects fled on foot and were last seen running down Douglas St.  No one was injured.  Descriptions were three young black males wearing a black hoodie, a white hoodie and a black and white hoodie.

ASSAULT: 400 Block EVERETT. Complainant reported that she was assaulted by a known suspect who came to her house and beat her up Monday afternoon.  The complainant sought treatment for unspecified injuries at an emergency room.

BURGLARY/BUILDING: 600 Block MOORE ST. Complainant reported that a building was broken into sometime within the past eight days and a 30 gallon barrel of scrap copper was stolen.

FORGERY/COUNTERFEITI: 800 Block S JOHN REDDITT DR. Complainant reported that someone made a large on-line purchase using her checking account information.

BURGLARY: 1000 Block S TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that a building was broken into Sunday night and three vehicles inside the building were entered.  A stereo was missing from one of the cars.

BURGLARY: 100 Block W. Shepherd. Complainant reported that someone broke into his apartment and stole his wallet and medication Sunday night.

THEFT/A: 500 Block E DENMAN. Two employees were inside a business early Monday morning when the power went off.  They went outside and found a man trying to remove an air conditioner from the business after removing the electric meter.  The suspect fled and was not located.

THEFT/C: 600 Block TRENTON ST. Complainant reported that a known suspect stole $20 from under his pillow Sunday.

CRIMINAL TRESPASS: 1400 Block LOTUS LN. Complainant reported that her unlocked vehicle was entered and rummaged through Monday morning but nothing was taken.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 100 Block WESTERHOLM CT. Complainant reported that someone punctured two of his car tires with a sharp object during the early morning hours Monday.

BURGLARY/HABITATION:  200 Block S TIMBERLAND. Complainant reported that someone broke into her motel room Sunday night and stole some jewelry items, cash and her car keys while she was asleep.  The suspect(s) then used the keys to unlock her car and steal a check from her car.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF: 1400 Block CALIFORNIA. Complainant reported that her burgundy Mitsubishi Galant was stolen from her driveway sometime during the early morning hours Monday. The car was found abandoned Monday in Polk County.
