Nacogdoches Police Report - 10/7/08

BURGLARY OF A BUILDING: 100 BLOCK OF EAST HOSPITAL. Six offices in an office complex were forcibly entered and some small items and petty cash were taken.

THEFT: 1700 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported the tail lights taken off of his GMC pickup.

ASSAULT: 1400 BLOCK OF TIMBERLAKE. Complainant reported being slapped by a known suspect. Case filed in municipal court.

ASSAULT-THEFT: 1100 BLOCK OF NORTH UNIVERSITY DRIVE (BURKS). Ashley Page was observed by loss prevention taking merchandise. The suspect returned the merchandise and fled the scene, pushing a store employee to the ground. Suspect captured by police and arrested.

MENTAL HEALTH WARRANT-BARRICADED PERSON: 1500 BLOCK OF COLEMAN STREET. A patient left the hospital against medical advice. A mental health warrant was issued for this subject, as he was a danger to himself and the public. He was located at a house on Coleman Street. After several hours of unsuccessful negotiations, officers were forced to deploy gas into the house. The subject was taken into custody without further incident and transported to the hospital for treatment.

THEFT FROM A PERSON: 2600 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Complainant reported that a known suspect snatched a $20.00 bill from complainant's hand and fled.

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY: 1500 BLOCK OF PEARL. Officers contacted the suspect at a disturbance. The suspect gave a false name. Officers identified the suspect as Rhonda Pleasant, who had several outstanding warrants. She was arrested.

DISORDERLY CONDUCT: 2100 BLOCK OF PEARL. Officers were dispatched to a noise complaint. When officers arrived the music was very loud. Officers contacted Amanda Leigh and Jacob Braughton. As officers were leaving, they turned the music up louder than before. Both were arrested.

BURGLARY OF A HABITATION-ASSAULT: 2000 BLOCK OF MLK. Two known suspects forced their way into a residence and one of the suspects punched and pushed the victim. Warrants requested.

POSSESSION OF MARIJUANA: 100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. Omar Luna was stopped for a traffic violation. Officer observed a baggie of suspected marijuana on the front vehicle seat. He was arrested.
