ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - The Texas Secretary of State made a stop in Lufkin Tuesday to discuss the upcoming general election.
Hope Andrade visited with "Midget" Sherman and she is proud Angelina County, along with the rest of Texas is ready for voting.
Andrade has been touring Texas to discuss the upcoming election with county officials.
As of Monday morning, 13.3 million Texans were registered to vote and she says they are expecting record voter turnout this election because of it.
"We want this to be a positive voting experience. We already now numbers are large, so if they do early voting, they won't have to wait. One county said, if you wait, you will be waiting," says Andrade.
Angelina County has four early voting places, including weekend voting. For more information, visit the county's website.
Andrade says Chambers and Galveston Counties are also set up for early voting for people displaced from Ike.
