Nacogdoches Police Report - 10/13/08

FAILURE TO IDENTIFY-EVADING ARREST: 200 BLOCK OF MITCHELL. Officers contacted a suspect who gave a false name. The suspect ran from officers when challenged on the validity of his name. The suspect was captured and identified as Jeremy Caraway. He was arrested.

UNAUTHORIZED USE OF A VEHICLE: 5100 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A citizen heard his vehicle start up. The vehicle dorve off and was followed through Wal-Mart lot and onto North Street. Officers arrived and stopped the vehicle. The steering column had been broken and the vehicle hotwired. Deaaron Hodge, the driver, was arrested.

UNLAWFUL RESTRAINT: 100 BLOCK OF TOWNSEND AVENUE. A suspect held a female victim down on a bed against her will until she fought him off. The suspect, Toby Gomez, was arrested.

AGGRAVATED ASSAULT: 3100 BLOCK OF EJ CAMPBELL. A male and a female were involved in a disturbance. The male suspect pulled a knife and threatened the victim. The suspect was gone on arrival of officers.

ARSON: 1100 BLOCK OF PINE SHADOWS. Unknown suspects set fire to a mailbox. The front door of the mailbox was located several feet away. Case turned over to Nacogdoches fire marshal's office.

RECOVERED NARCOTICS: 2000 BLOCK OF NORTH STREET. A citizen located a baggie containing suspected marijuana in a parking lot. It was taken into custody.

ASSAULT: 2000 BLOCK OF RAILROAD. A male suspecct became involved in a physical altercation with a female victim. No serious injury. Jack Wade, Jr. was arrested.
