Lufkin Police Report - 10/23/08

DEAD ON SCENE: 4400 Block S FIRST ST. Complainant reported that a man jumped from a fourth floor hotel window Wednesday evening around 7pm.  The man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

THEFT/B: 1600 Block SUNRISE AV. Complainant reported that two chainsaws were stolen from the back of his pickup Wednesday evening.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 400 Block E LAUREL. Complainant reported that his car was broken into Tuesday night and a stereo and a computer memory card were stolen.

THEFT/B: 1800 Block W FRANK AV. Complainant reported that a man stole three packs of beer, a bottle of wine and a carton of cigarettes from a store Wednesday evening.

FRAUD: 4500 Block S MEDFORD. Complainant reported several unauthorized charges were made on a credit card over the past several weeks.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 400 Block ADAMS. Complainant reported that the stereo system was stolen from his unlocked vehicle Tuesday night.

BURGLARY/HABITATION: 400 Block LOCKE AL. Complainant reported that his home was burglarized and a television was stolen Wednesday morning.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF: 800 Block E LUFKIN. Complainant reported that the gutters on a church building were kicked, hit and damaged and that several letters on a sign were torn off and broken sometime Tuesday night.

BURGLARY/VEHICLE: 100 Block WEBBER ST. Complainant reported that her car was broken into and her purse stolen Wednesday morning.

THEFT/A: 1800 Block DENMAN. Complainant reported that his wallet was stolen from his apartment Wednesday morning, possibly by a female houseguest he had over.  He recovered his wallet, minus some cash, outside under his car Wednesday.
