Meth lab discovered in Angelina County

by Kirby Gibbs

HUDSON, TX (KTRE) - At approximately 1:40 Saturday afternoon, the Angelina County Sheriff's Department received an anonymous tip that lead to a meth lab bust.

Investigators were told that a male subject with a felony warrant out of Trinity County could be found at a residence on Parks Circle located in Hudson. When deputies arrived at the home a female answered the door. While speaking with her, officers saw the male subject with the felony warrant inside the home coming out of a bedroom.

Sergeant Bart Riley of the Angelina County Sheriff's Department said officers then entered the home to make the arrest when they smelled a strong chemical odor associated with the manufacture of methamphetamine.

Deputies then located parts to a meth lab as well as methamphetamine inside the home and in a vehicle outside. There were three arrests made at the home for various warrants. The man from Trinity and two women were taken to the Angelina County Jail. Other charges could be pending in this case.

"The lasting effects of methamphetamine use as well as just being around an operating lab are just too numerous to even list," Sgt. Riley said. "People just don't understand the dangers to the children also when they have them in the home or in an area where the stuff is being produced."

38 year old Thomas Duane Marshall is in the Angelina County Jail, charged with possessing chemicals used to manufacture meth. He's also charged with attempted burglary of a building and possession of a controlled substance. Marshall has been fined $50,000 without bond.

Also arrested was 20-year old Elisa Danielle Kennedy, who was wanted on an unrelated warrant.

Tonight, she is out of jail on bond.

More information will be given as the story develops.
