Head Coach's Wife Survives Aneurysm Removal

SFA head football coach Mike Santiago experienced the sweetest victory in all of his years as a coach. Monday evening his wife, Rochelle, survived a surgery in which an aneurysm was removed from her brain at a hospital in Houston.

Mrs. Santiago began experiencing head aches associated with the aneurysm a week ago. She was admitted to a hospital in Nacogdoches on Sunday, then life flighted to a hospital in Houston at 12:50 PM after a doctor's recommendation.

At 4:00 PM, Rochelle went through the aneurysm removal procedure. The process lasted 2 1/2 hours. According to her oldest son, Dallas, Mrs. Santiago is stable and doing well. Dallas also stated that the doctors are optimistic and that his mom will remain hospitalized in Houston for a week.

All of our thoughts and prayers go out to Rochelle and the Sanatiago family as well.!!!
