All Broadus Gravette ever wanted to do as a child was rodeo, and he's been fulfilling that dream for almost half a century. Over his 48 year career in Rodeo, Gravette has won many titles including the World Champion Calf Roping Title in 1971.
At the age of sixty-five Gravette is still rodeoing, as well as raising and training calf roping horses. He says it takes every day for two years to train a good calf roping horse. A good calf horse these days costs from fifteen thousand to sixty-five thousand and sometimes even more, but Gravette says the cost doesn't insure success, attitude and training are more important.
