After an attempted burglary and a high speed chase that resulted in a crash in Frankston, one suspect is dead, one suspect is in custody, and an Anderson County Sheriff's deputy has been badly beaten about the head.
Frankston High School was briefly locked down during the chase.
The deputy was airlifted to ETMC from the scene. Anderson County officials confirmed to a KLTV 7 crew on-scene that the officer was badly beaten up, not shot, despite other reports to the contrary.
