No one can stop San Augustine native Dominique Edison.
"Thinking about records was not even on my mind," Edison says. "I just wanted to come to school, contribute to the team, and to have my parents be proud of me."
The senior wide out is re-writing the S.F.A. record books.
"Actually, I broke the single season touchdown record with 16," Edison says.
That's not the only one. Edison has also set new school marks in career receptions, single season receptions and is in the top 5 in career touchdowns.
A lot of awards for a self-proclaimed small town kid
"Coming out of San Augustine, I was just happy to get the opportunity," Edison says. "I feel I have had a good career and I can look back and always say that I helped S.F.A. win games."
"He is our clutch man," S.F.A. cornerback Jeremy Claybon says. "Everyone has a clutch man on their team, Dominique Edison is our clutch man."
His college days are almost done but his best football may still lie ahead of him
"I have talked to 32 teams in the N.F.L.," Edison says. "It feels good to know that they are at least talking to me about the next level."
His teammates think he can do it. Claybon even compares him to another east Texas wide out who has a knack for scoring.
"In the red zone, just throw it up to him," Claybon says. "Something like Dez Bryant, you could say."
