Quincy Grows Up

Cowboys 21 Titans 13

(Irving, Texas-AP) -- Quincy Carter bounced back from a rough

outing in Week One to lead Dallas to a 21-to-13 win over Tennessee.

Carter perfectly executed a play fake for a 17-yard touchdown,

then turned another well-run play action into a 38-yard T-D. He was

14-of-24 for 240 yards and no interceptions, one week after the

Cowboys fell to Houston 19-to-10.

Joey Galloway caught the decisive touchdown and finished with

five receptions for 88 yards.

Cowboys running back Emmitt Smith had 59 yards, moving him 414

yards from becoming the N-F-L's all-time leading rusher.

Titans quarterback Steve McNair completed nine of his first ten

passes before going cold down the stretch. He finished 20-of-38 for

226 yards and one touchdown.
