NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - Public comment will be heard Tuesday evening on the proposed federal minimum security correctional unit in Nacogdoches. Opponents and proponents will be given limited time to voice their opinions about the controversial issue. The organization, Citizens Opposing the Prison Site have been requesting the opportunity for months. Mayor Roger Van Horn finally agreed when he saw a project decision is delayed by federal budget talks. The mayor was persuaded to move tomorrow's meeting from city hall to a larger spot. It will be held in the 145th District Courtroom at the Nacogdoches County courthouse. Visitors will need to enter through the main entrance. The meeting gets underway at 5:30 P.M. .
