Lufkin, TX (KTRE) - According to Sergeant Pete Maskunas, the Texas Rangers are still investigating the death of 28 year old Joseph Kirksey in the Angelina County Jail.
He says, there is no evidence that shows that a non-lethal control device, such as a taser gun, had any part in his death. Kirksey's body has been sent to the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office. Texas Rangers are still awaiting a report that may take weeks. Once autopsy reports are in, the findings will be presented to a grand jury.
