Chamber's Total Resource Campaign Surpasses Goal

Lufkin, TX (KTRE) - A significant part of the operating budget for the Angelina County United Way has been secured through its Total Resource Campaign.

"We were very excited with the results from this year's Total Resource Campaign.  The Chamber of Commerce was able to surpass its goal by 14%.  We were also able to sign up 85 new members to The Chamber," said Chamber Vice President Tony Moline.

This year's goal was $275,000.  The campaign raised $313,960, which is about 15% of the Chamber's operating budget.  The campaign stated October 2 and lasted for about six weeks.

Moline said, "The Total Resource Campaign is a volunteer driven membership and sponsorship drive for The Chamber of Commerce.  During this campaign sponsorships are sold for all Chamber events.  Some of the events include the Salute to Healthcare, the Tee It Up For Teachers Golf Tournament, The Annual Chamber Banquet, and the Texas State Forest Festival - as well as many others."

The Chairman for the Total Resource Campaign was Todd Kassaw with Zeleskey, Cornelius, Hallmark, Roper, Hicks LLP.  Yana Ogletree, Marketing Director for Memorial Health Systems, led the team that won 1st place in the competition.  Michelle Briley with Journey Magazine sold the most new members throughout the event.
