Phishing scam draws concern by bank officers

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A computer scam is affecting Commercial Bank of Texas. Bank officers warn East Texans fraudulent text messages from crooks went out on Saturday. An automated system requests card and pin numbers. But banks don't operate this way. The texting number has been broken up by law enforcement, but the warning stands to avoid any texts from the number 936- 622 6016. Most importantly, don't release your banking numbers to anyone. If you have received or responded to a text, please contact your bank. This deeply concerns Commercial Bank because it's in the midst of re-issuing cards to customers.
