The report studied over 20,000 schools from across the nation, grading them on criteria such as college readiness, attendance, and graduation rates.

"This is a real honor, to be named to this list, and to recieve this honor is really great," said Chireno Superintendent Roger Dees.

Hudson Superintendent Mary Ann Whiteker agreed, "This is not something that happens overnight, it is the work of teachers and students, and this is the fruit of their labor."

Chireno High School is no stranger to the award, this is the second consecutive year that they have recieved such honor.

"It is good to have some consistency," chuckled Dees, "this is just something that the future students have to look forward to trying to match."
