Ski-masked robbers hit Nacogdoches streets, flee at the sight of trouble

Nacogdoches police are investigating a pair of early Tuesday morning robberies by men wearing ski masks.

Between 2:13 a.m. and 3:10 a.m., police said a complainant reported that three male suspects wearing ski masks approaced them on Everwood Street and demanded money. One of the suspects had a handgun. The complainant screamed, according to the report, and the suspects fled in an older four-door gray car.

Between 2:28 a.m. and 3:10 a.m., a different person said they were returning from work and found a man hiding in the bushes on the 1200 block of West Seale Street and two other suspects arrived. The complainant shined a flashlight on them. One of the suspects allegedly shot his gun before they all fled in a small gray four-door car.

Between 1:45 a.m. and 3:10 a.m., a complainant said they were inside a vehicle on the 4200 block of Mystic Avenue when they were approached by a man wearing a ski mask who showed his hand gun. Another suspect with a ski mask also approached the car. The complainant sped away in their vehicle before the suspects left in their older model dark four-door car.

Police say they are pursuing leads in the attempted robberies.
