Learning database offers all sorts of help for all sorts of people

NACOGDOCHES, TX (PRESS RELEASE) The Nacogdoches Public Library is pleased to unveil its newest database, The Learning Express Library.  This database is available to everyone through the library's website, http://npl.sfasu.edu/ and can be accessed 24/7 free of charge. It has interactive tutorials to help users improve basic skills in reading, writing, and math, as well as prepare for high-stakes tests such as the GED, SAT, ACT, ASVAB, GRE, TAKS, TOEFL, THEA, TEXES, computer training for Excel, Access, and Microsoft Word.

The LearningExpress LibraryTM database has helped millions of library patrons and students across the country prepare for a wide range of career-oriented licensing and certification exams in health care, education, civil service, real estate, homeland security, and much more.  The e-books section provides job skills such as creating a great resume, honing interviewing techniques, and improving business communications. The innovative platform includes self-paced interactive study, instant scoring, and diagnostic feedback, and can be accessed from any computer with an Internet connection. Resources are also available for U.S. citizenship preparation.

The Nacogdoches Public Library now offers a total of 56 databases that its customers can access free of charge.  Funds to purchase The Learning Express Library were provided by a Loan Star Grant from the Texas Library and Archives Commission.  For more information about the database, please call 559-2970 or visit the library's website at http://npl.sfasu.edu.
