A stalled out front combined with an upper level disturbance and plenty of moisture to generate scattered showers and thunderstorms today. The rain and storms will slowly wind down this evening, only to re-generate once again tomorrow as the stalled front serves as a focal point for more showers and thunderstorms. Due to the high moisture content, locally heavy rainfall will be possible once again on Wednesday if you find yourself underneath some of the heavier and slower moving storms.
Tuesday night will be mostly cloudy, warm, and humid with a 30% chance of rain. Lows near 70. Winds will be light and out of the northwest at 5 mph.
Wednesday will be partly cloudy with a 40% chance of showers and thunderstorms. Highs in the lower 90's. Winds will be light and out of the southeast at 5 mph.
As we head towards the end of the week, our atmosphere will slowly dry out as a ridge of high pressure starts to build back in to the state of Texas. That means we will see more sunshine, and yes, hotter temperatures, with highs climbing back into the middle 90's.
