EAST TEXAS (KLTV) - As vegetable gardeners treat for weeds, diseases and insects or pests in their garden, they need to be mindful of the products pre-harvest interval.
Known as PHI, the pre-harvest interval is on a pesticide label and it refers to a specific time period following a pesticide application where a crop must stay in a field or garden and cannot be removed.
This applies to home gardeners and large farms.
Everyone must read the label to make sure that every crop is safe.
