Notes: It will be 10 tough weeks of football for Lindale, who won’t get a bye in the 2022 season until the regular season’s final week. They hope to use that week to rest up before the playoffs. The Eagles were young when it came to starters last year but the players quickly grew into their position. All five offensive lineman are back and they should have a solid secondary. One area of concern will be replacing the defensive line. Players to watch: “Jr QB Clint Thurman-He has some big shoes to fill with Sam Peterson leaving. We are excited about Clint because of his toughness and competitive nature. He makes everyone around him better! Jr REC Marcus Field-Marcus has grown a lot over the past 2 years, physically and mentally. He is 6′3, 180 and has a lot of potential to be a big play guy for us! Sr DL Christian King-Christian has played a lot of football for us dating back to starting almost every game of the 2020 season. He can play anywhere on the DL and is a great leader for our Defense. Jr LB Jake Curbow-Jake was the District Defensive Newcomer of the Year last season. He really matured as a player throughout the year and has a high ceiling as a football player because of his high character and work ethic. Soph K Seth Baggett-Seth is going to player a big role for us in Special Teams. He was clutch for us last season as a Freshman. He has worked really hard this Offseason to strengthen his leg so he can impact games!”
