East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Here is the Weather Where You Live... A very nice Christmas Eve continues across East Texas. We are looking for clouds to begin building in slowly this evening and tonight leaving us with a Mostly Cloudy Sky for our Christmas Day. A few scattered showers will also be possible on Christmas Day, just a 20% chance. Mild temperatures should occur as well. More clouds and increasing chances for showers and thundershowers and we progress through our day on Wednesday. Overnight Wednesday and into early Thursday morning, showers and isolated thunderstorms will be possible, therefore, we have declared a First Alert Weather Day for Late Wednesday night and very early on Thursday morning. Gusty winds are expected to be the greatest threat at this time. We will continue to update you on this time period over the next few days. By Thursday afternoon, clouds should begin to clear and winds will be fairly gusty out of the WSW at 20-25 mph, gusts near 30 mph. Mostly Sunny on Friday with mild temperatures, then mostly cloudy skies Saturday through Monday of next week. A few showers on Saturday and Sunday, then better chances on Monday, New Year’s Eve.
