LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - Lines were outside the lobby on Monday at a building in downtown Lufkin.
Folks were making there way to Manhattan’s Fine Dining where the restaurant was handing out meals to those in need.
Meals were packed with spaghetti, rolls, and cookies.
Destin Sabani, the owner, said it’s his way of giving back to the community.
“Lufkin is a unique community. It’s really nice people very helpful to each other," Sabani said. “You ask for help they are everybody is there whether you know or don’t they shop. Being a good community trying to distribute help to the others and I’m trying to be one of them.”
In all, more than 500 meals were handed out.
