LUFKIN, TX (KTRE) - The past two season, Lufkin has been on the national youth baseball map and the city does not look at slowing down.

With the season right around the corner, the Lufkin Parks and Recreation department will open up registration on Monday. For the second year in a row, the league is expanding. This year, the city will offer a senior division for kids up to age 16. By doing this there is a possibility that a Senior All-Star team could compete for the Senior League World Series, a tournament comprised of five U.S. teams and six international teams.
