East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Here is a look at the weather where you live: This afternoon we saw mostly cloudy skies for the northern half of East Texas and partly to mostly sunny skies for Deep East Texas. As we head into the evening hours we will see cloud cover build back in from the north, ending our day with partly to mostly cloudy skies for all. Overnight, the temperatures will vary depending on how much cloud cover sits over East Texas. Mid-30s are expected for most but if we see any breaks in cloud cover in some areas, a few near-freezing temperatures will be possible. Heading into tomorrow afternoon we should see a few breaks in the cloud cover with a nice mix of sunshine and clouds with northerly winds ranging from 5-15 mph and highs struggling to reach 50 degrees. Mostly sunny skies to start your Monday with another round of cool lower 50s for highs, then a nice warming trend takes place bringing middle 50s for highs by Tuesday and then lower 60s by Wednesday to bring us slightly above average for seasonal norms. We will see increasing cloud cover by Wednesday and slight chances for rain returning to the forecast Thursday and Friday as a weak cold front is expected to move through East Texas early on Thursday. We will stay dry for a few hours before another stronger cold front is expected to arrive late Friday/early Sunday bringing another chance for rain and much cooler temperatures.
