Jasper PD, Polk County Sheriff’s Office seeking help locating stolen 18-wheeler

NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - The Jasper Police Department and the Polk County Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s help in finding an 18-wheeler that was stolen Thursday night.

According to a post on the Jasper Police Department page, the truck was last seen heading east on U.S. Highway 190 between and Woodville and Jasper at about 5:30 a.m. Friday. The post stated that the truck could be in Jasper or Newton County.

The truck is a 2000 Peterbilt with a Fontaine RGN trailer, and it is marked C Lawless Trucking, LLC. The truck’s license plate number is R073512, and the trailer’s license plate number is X87677.

The truck’s U.S. Department of Transportation number is 1336765.

“If you see this 18-wheeler, please contact Lt. Foster with the Jasper Police Department at (409) 383-6178 or Deputy Goertz with the Polk County Sheriff’s Department at (936) 327-6810,” the Facebook post stated.
