DEEP EAST TEXAS (KTRE) - Clear skies and calming winds will lead to a widespread, light freeze Thursday morning. There may also be some areas of patchy frost as well.
A sun-filled sky will help boost our temperatures into the middle-to-upper 50′s on Thursday afternoon, leading to a cool sunshine throughout East Texas.
We have another cold front slated to arrive late Thursday night and into Friday morning, but with limited moisture, it will come through on the dry side and just reinforce the cool, dry weather already in place.
A passing disturbance to our southwest may bring in some clouds and a 20% chance of rain on Saturday, but at this time, it appears the better rain chances will stay well to our south for the weekend.
Outside of the slight rain chance on Saturday, we will have several dry days ahead from now through early next week as the chilly air remains in place.
Our next strong cold front will arrive next Monday night or early Tuesday morning. There will be a 30% chance of rain with the stronger cold front arriving next week followed by more cold air.
