Car backfire started barn fire in Hudson area

ANGELINA COUNTY, TX (KTRE) - Emergency crews are responding to a reported structure fire in Angelina County.

According to the Hudson Fire Marshal Joe Burton, the fire was reported to be in the 300 block of Horton Glen.

The call came in at 12:03 p.m. When fire crews arrived, they found a barn on fire.

According to Hudson Fire Marshal Joe Burton, the owner of a vehicle was attempting to start the car when it backfired and started the fire in the barn.

The Central, Diboll, Fuller Springs, and Hudson Volunteer Fire Department all responded to the scene.
