East Texas (KLTV/KTRE) - Here’s a look at the weather where you live: A cool and windy day, with northwesterly winds at 10-20 mph. Due to the breezy winds, a Lake Wind Advisory has been issued until 7:00 PM this evening, so be careful if you’re hitting the water today. A stray shower will be possible from early this morning through the earlier afternoon hours. Nothing severe is expected, but you might want to hold onto the umbrella just in case. This afternoon will be mild in the upper 60s to near 70 degrees and lots of sunshine. More sun over the weekend with a cool start on your Saturday in the middle 40s and an even better looking afternoon in the upper 70s. Your Easter Sunday forecast is nearly perfect, with a mild start in the middle 50s and afternoon highs in the lower 80s and LOTS of sunshine throughout the day. We’ll see an increase in cloud cover on Monday but should stay dry. Slight chances for rain on Tuesday, then showers and thunderstorms become likely heading into Wednesday and Thursday as our next cold front sets up to move through the area. It has been quite a long time since we’ve been able to forecast a weekend full of sun. Make sure you enjoy it!
