NACOGDOCHES, TX (KTRE) - A woman and a 12-year-old boy suffered unknown injuries when a car failed to yield at a railroad crossing on County Road 265 and was struck by a train Friday morning.
According to a press release, Texas Department of Public Safety troopers responded to and investigated the crash, which occurred at about 10:30 a.m. Friday.
The preliminary crash report shows that Lataria Session, 21, of Nacogdoches was driving a 2007 Nissan passenger car west on CR 265 when she failed to yield the right of way to warning signs at a railroad crossing, and her vehicle was struck by a Union Pacific train.
Session and the 12-year-old boy riding in the car with her were taken to Nacogdoches Memorial Hospital for treatment of unknown injuries, the press release stated.
No Union Pacific personnel were injured in the wreck.
The crash is still under investigation.
