CORRIGAN, TX (KTRE) - DPS has released more information on a wreck involving a Corrigan-Camden ISD bus Monday.
According to DPS, they investigated the wreck involving the bus and a commercial vehicle on US 59, just south of Moscow.
The preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 7 a.m., a 2014 IC school bus was traveling south and slowing down with the buses yellow lights activated preparing to stop when a southbound Volvo truck tractor semi-trailer failed to control speed and struck the rear of the bus.
DPS said the driver of the school bus is identified as 53-year-old Yolonda Beal from Corrigan. Beal was not injured during the crash. A total of eight students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Five of those students were transported for evaluation and possible treatment of minor injuries.
The driver of the truck tractor is identified as 52-year-old Yong-Kwan Kim from Ontario Canada. Kim was also not injured during the crash.
This crash remains under investigation.

According to DPS officials, a Corrigan-Camden ISD school bus was involved in a crash on US Highway 59 South of Corrigan sometime before 7:50 a.m.
Corrigan-Camden ISD reported the bus was rear-ended by an 18-wheeler.
The school district reported four students were being transported for medical care. Parents of the students involved have been notified.
Corrigan-Camden ISD stated only bus was involved in the crash. A second bus has been called to pick up the student from the wrecked bus.
