Storms cause damages, block roadways throughout Deep East Texas

WEBXTRA: Power pole snaps on US 69 North in Angelina County

EAST TEXAS, TX (KTRE) - Storms rolled through Deep East Texas on Wednesday, blocking roadways and causing damages.

TxDOT is reporting trees are down on FM 2021 between US 69 North and State Highway 103 West.

Lufkin police is directing traffic at North Timberland and Atkinson Drive and at Timberland and Kurth. They’re reporting the traffic signals are out.

Storm damage has also been reported in Crown Colony.

The Nacogdoches County Sheriff’s Office is reporting there is a downed tree blocking the entire roadway on 21 East near Sandhill. Highway 95, just south of Chireno, near the Black Jack community is also blocked due to a downed tree.

Multiple trees are down on FM 95, between Martinsville and Chireno in Nacogdoches County.

Power Pole snapped in Angelina County

A power pole snapped on Highway 69 just north of Lufkin in Angelina County. Work crews are at the scene fixing the pole.

The high school baseball playoff game between Douglas and Garrison has been moved. The game has been moved to Glen Rose.
