NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) -Angelina College will host a two-day Coordinated Crime Conference, hoping to make a safer community.
The Angelina County Police Academy will be hosting the event and partnering with law enforcement, emergency responders, attorneys, DFPS counselors, nurses and social workers.
Topics that will be discussed include strangulation, understanding targeted violence, dynamics of domestic violence and how to use DNA evidence.
“And it’s bringing all of us together under one roof, so we can communicate with each other in these types of sexual assaults and domestic assaults issues, so we can understand the roles of different things,” said Chief Doug Conn.
If the conference is on July 16 and 17 at Angelina College gym.
A $25 registration fee is required.
