LUFKIN, Texas (KTRE) - A Lufkin cardiologist addressed cardiovascular concerns with community leaders at Chi St. Luke’s Hospital on Tuesday.
Dr. Ravinder Bachireddy urged the community to partner to help reduce health issues such as heart attacks, stroke and more.
Bachireddy said cardiovascular & lung diseases are widely prevalent in Angelina and surrounding counties.
The chief cardiologist said support from individuals, businesses, government & organizations helps build healthy communities & lifestyles.
“Each and everyone has a role to play, it’s hospitals and physicians their dominant role in cardiovascular care but community individuals, organizations and community members have a bigger role in taking care of the health,” Bachireddy said.
Bachireddy also offered tips for healthier workplace choices.
