ANGELINA COUNTY, Texas (KTRE) - UPDATE: Three people were injured with one being transported by helicopter after a crash in Angelina County Thursday.
According to DPS, they responded to a two-vehicle crash this afternoon on SH 103 at SH 7 involving a commercial motor vehicle.
They said the preliminary crash investigation indicates at approximately 4:30 p.m., a 2014 Ford pickup was traveling west on SH 7 and turned left when unsafe across SH 103 in an attempt to enter a private drive and drove into the path 2014 Peterbilt truck tractor semi-trailer that was traveling west on SH 7.
DPS said the driver of the Ford is identified as 33-year-old Benjamin Bauld from Livingston. Bauld was transported to UT Tyler Medical Center by medical helicopter for treatment. Two passengers with Bauld, a 10-year-old female and a 7- year-old male were transported to Woodland Height’s Hospital in Lufkin for treatment.
DPS said the driver of the Peterbilt is identified as 31-year-old Jorge Vasquez from Krum, TX. Vasquez was not reportedly injured during the crash.

The crash is located in the area of Highway 7 and Highway 103 west. Traffic has been diverted to one-lane.
According to our reporter at the scene, it appears a 18-wheeler t-boned a pickup truck.
Avoid the area if possible as crews work to clear the crash site.
