Trinity police chief says he has tested positive for COVID-19

TRINITY, Texas (KTRE) -Wednesday night, Trinity Police Chief Steven Jones shared the news he has tested positive for COVID-19. Chief Jones shared the news on Facebook.
Chief Jones said he was tested at Huntsville Memorial and was called back with the confirmation.
“Considering our small community I feel it’s best that I inform you all so that you may take precautions if you have been around me.”
Jones added that he has been off work since this past Friday.
