(KLTV) - The Dallas Cowboys didn’t waste any time in hiring their next defensive coordinator.
The franchise made the news official Monday night after Adam Schefter broke the story that a deal was reached between Dallas and former Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn.
Quinn takes over for a defense that had one of the worst year’s in franchise history and surrendered the most points by any Cowboys team.
Quinn was fired after five games this season by the Falcons. Quinn took the Falcons to the Super Bowl in his second year, eventually blowing a lead to the Patriots.
Quinn has shown success on the defensive side of the ball. He was the DC for the Seattle Seahawks and played a big roll in developing the Legion of Boom that took Seattle to back to back Super Bowls. His defense was the top in the league during his two years in Seattle.
