NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - Kevon Harris will be heading to Canada for his next professional basketball stop.
The former Lumberjack was picked 11th overall in the 2021 NBA G League Draft on Monday by Raptors905. The club is an affiliate of the Toronto Raptors.
The team finished last season at 22-21 when the season was canceled due to COVID-19. In 2019, the club made it to their conference semifinal. In 2018 they lost to Austin in the league finals. In 2017, they were crowned league champions.
Shortly after the NBA draft, Harris signed a exhibit 10 contract with the Los Angeles Lakers but he was cut from the team’s roster in training camp. Harris is the all-time leading Division I scorer at SFA and the reigning Southland Conference Player of the Year.
