CPS has advised that the child has tested positive for narcotics, and an Amber Alert was issued.
HENDERSON COUNTY, Texas (KLTV) - An Amber Alert was issued discontinued Thursday night after law enforcement in Coffee City said an infant was taken by his non-custodial parents.
Ryder Williams was warded to the custody of CPS after he tested positive for narcotics. After an alert was issued, the mother, by then in Hunt County, decided to surrender the child to law enforcement in that county. According to police, the child has now been surrendered to Child Protective Services, who will have him checked out at a medical facility.
The father, Ricky Williams, has been located in Tyler.
Charges are pending on the parents until they get bloodwork results.
