LAREDO, Tx. (KGNS) - A manhunt is underway for a man accused of murder and Laredo Police say he is considered to be armed and dangerous.
Authorities need your help locating 44-year-old Fabricio Perez.
He has an arrest warrant for the murder of 27-year-old Julio Cesar Flores, who was found with a single gunshot wound to the head inside a white car on Guadalupe Street and Texas Avenue around eight Thursday morning.
Investigators worked throughout the day gathering information from witnesses, checking surveillance footage and talking to family members.
Police say there was enough evidence to charge Perez with murder.
Joe Baeza with the Laredo Police Department says they are still investigating the series of events that happened prior to Flores’ death.
“We’re not prepared here and now to lay that out for anybody. Very simply it’s that there was surmountable evidence in this case regarding why Mr. Perez has been identified as the person alleged in this murder”, said Baeza.
Investigators believe the crime happened the day or night before the victim was found.
If you have any information regarding Perez’s whereabouts you are urged to call Laredo Police at 956-795-2800 or Crime Stoppers at 956-727-TIPS.
