After Marshal city council didn’t pass a resolution concerning reparations for slavery Thursday night, a filmmaker and political activist who has been working with city leaders on the subject held a press conference in Marshall in response to the vote.
An East Texan was electrocuted when his truck came into contact with a power line. This happened around nine this morning off of Owl road, near Diana in Upshur county. Deputies came to the remote cattle ranch off Owl road on a call that initially didn't make sense.
