Brittany Michaleson joined KCBD in January of 2021. She is a multimedia journalist who loves meeting new people and sharing their stories. She grew up not too far from the Hub City, in Plains, Texas, watching NewsChannel 11 and is excited to start her career with such a respected team.
Her passion for journalism began in high school, competing on the UIL team. She took that passion to Lubbock Christian University, where she wrote for The Duster Today, hosted several radio shows, and studied abroad in Avila, Spain. Her final semester, she was an intern in Washington, D. C., at the Voice of America in the Latin American Division for a weekly show called Venezuela 360. She graduated in 2020 with a degree in Mass Communications and minors in Spanish and Linguistics.
A native West Texan, Brittany loves being a part of the Lubbock community and is excited to kickstart her career sharing your stories.
