Woman injured in three-vehicle wreck

HUNTINGTON, TX (KTRE) - A woman was transported to the hospital in a three-vehicle wreck just outside Huntington Monday morning.

David Sanderford Safley was traveling northbound in a Chevrolet Malibu on Highway 69 south and attempted to stop and take a left-hand turn when he was hit from behind by Breanna Bailey in a Jeep Cherokee. Bailey was then hit from behind by Keith Alan Needham in a RAV-4.

Bailey and Needham both flipped their vehicles. Bailey was transported to a Lufkin hospital and released.

DPS Trooper Clint Henderson said Bailey was cited for failure to control speed and Needham was cited for following too close.

Traffic on both sides of the road was closed momentarily.
