Diboll Junior High School on Dennis Street received three demerits. They need to repair the sweeper at the back door, and sanitize the inside of the ice machine.

Lufkin High School on South Medford also received three demerits. They need to sanitize and store the ice scoops properly.

The Huntington Health Care and Rehab on East Ash Street received five demerits. They were thawing meat at room temperature, but the meat must be submerged in cool water, with the water running. The new employees must obtain food handler cards. The food establishment permit is past the current permit.

The Dairy Queen on North John Redditt Drive received 15 demerits. They need to decrease the cold hold temperature. There was no manager on site, and all employees must obtain food handler cards. The back door must seal tightly (bottom corner and top left corner) and the ice scoops need to be properly stored and sanitized. A follow up for manager on site will be in 14 days. A follow up for employee food handler cards in 30 days.

Chen's China Inn on South Timberland drive received 19 demerits. The buffet was at 117 degrees and needs to be increased to above 135 degrees. They need to replace floor tiles, and repair hot water in the dish room. The back doors must seal properly and they need to sanitize inside ice machine. They also need to cover and protect food items in the cooler and freezer.

Congratulations to the following eateries, they all received zero demerits. Kid Kountry Too, Dunbar Cafeteria, Pineywoods Academy and Pete's Place.
